The Roosevelt Gate at the North Entrance marks the original entrance into Yellowstone National Park. Today there are four other entrances, West, South, East, and Northeast. The Gate is near Gardiner, Montana, just north of Mammoth Hot Springs. The words at the top, "FOR THE BENEFIT AND ENJOYMENT OF THE PEOPLE" are from the act which made Yellowstone the nation's first National Park.
